FIDF Mourns
with Israel

We are shaken by last night’s tragedy at the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, where at least 45 people were killed and scores more were injured during a Lag b’Omer celebration on Mt. Meron. The FIDF Family offers our deep condolences to those who lost loved ones and is praying for the speedy recovery of those injured.

Alongside emergency forces, IDF troops immediately responded to help save those affected by this disaster. We appreciate the efforts of the combat men and women of the various units for their tireless efforts to preserve human life, including the Tavor Battalion in the Search and Rescue Brigade, adopted by Ellen and Peter Weintraub; the 669 Forces, part of the IAF’s Kanaf 7, adopted by Steve Grand, Z”L; and the IDF Search and Rescue Brigade, adopted by Tri-State Young Leadership, all supported through FIDF’s Adopt-a-Unit Program.
